Online Education: Merits & Demerits

Education has different importance since, accidents times our religious text speak of the divine form of knowledge, wealth & power, out of that knowledge has been kept paramount. At present a, new form of education is being seen which is called online education. In this education sitting at home can teach children from any corner or province of the country through the internet.
Today, we are facing a lot of difficulties under the lock-down of Covid-19 the first in that is the education of children. Online education has easy-going on in lock-down. Now, according to the instruction of the school teachers are teaching children online from home through various software like — Zoom video calls, Whatsapp, Skype & Google meetings.
This system of online education has given a new direction to society. This new system has brought some positive & some negative effects which we discuss.
Benefits of online education
1) The main advantage of online education is that you can participate from anywhere.
2) Online education is very beneficial for children who write slowly in class as the class is usually available in the form of a recorded video. It can be seen or heard even when interrupted.
3) There is an option to study from any teacher as well as you can earn knowledge on any subject.
4) More courses become available for free or at low cost.
5) It also provides a safe environment for girls who are usually unable to step out of the house.
6) Sitting in our own country, you can take advantage of studying from famous teachers of other
countries.
7) Using an online white board, sending files and videos allows teachers to share their creative learning with students
De-Merits of online-education
1) Online learning can’t teach how to handle an instrument like playing guitar, driving a car.
2) We can’t do a chemical experiment on the internet especially the science social & science.
3) Online class affects children’s eyes and health.
4) Public speaking skills are further advanced to the level of learning when you sit with real peoples in
the real world.
5) Some children’s do not take these classes seriously, due to lack of fear of the teacher.
6) People how do not have expensive computers and smart phones are unable to keep pace with this
system of education.
7) Many times online classes fails due to network issue.
Conclusion
Although the advantages of online education are many, the traditional classroom is more practical in some areas. Online class may be suited for adult students who are self-disciplined, but it is better for children and adolescents to go school in the traditional way with a blended model of education we can increases our knowledge twice as fast
